Making an Impression with Attractive and Smart Business Cards

01310675950_business-2.jpgMarketing a business is a constant struggle for many businesses. Whether it a start-up or established business, finding new customers and keeping the old ones is a tough job. So, what’s the best way to market a business in today’s market condition? How can you get your name in front of your customers and prospects if you are on a tight budget? What’s the most effective solution to getting the word out in the most affordable way?
The simple answer is the good old business card printing. Even in today’s high speed and high tech business industry the business cards are still indispensable in business. Almost all business owners still carry their cards with them anywhere they go ready to be handed out to new prospects. The greatest challenge though in business card marketing is getting people to look at the cards and coerce them to keep them. There is, however, a solution to this challenge: design an attractive and smart business card.
Almost everyone still use business cards these days. When you meet people on the street or attend networking events people still ask for business cards. This makes it essential to create a business card that stands out from your competitions. Attractive and smart business cards will surely offer you this opportunity.
If you can put eye-popping images or a unique logo in your cards, you get better chance of drawing in customers and compelling them to hold on to your cards for later use. This will surely encourage customers to give you a second look at your cards and read the details printed on them before keeping them away.
Beautifully designed cards can also be great conversation starters. This will help you create rapport with your customers and prospects and make it exceptionally easy for you to turn your prospects into actual customers who are ready to purchase your products or services.
When it comes to creating your business cards, it would be easy and simple for you. You can always go to online printing companies and pick one of their business card templates to use as your design. Just add the graphics you want and your contact information and your cards are ready for printing. Most websites offer their templates for free. You only need to pay the printing cost.
What’s great with online printers is the design and printing process is simple and quick. You have a choice from the wide arrays of fonts and backgrounds they offer the best one that fit the image of your business. They even have graphics you can use in your cards.
If you do not want to use templates to design your cards, you can always create your own design. If you have the creative skill, you can always use your own word processing software to design your cards. There are layouts there that you can modify to fit the style and image of your business. You can change the font or add a graphic on your cards.
If what you desire is a custom design, your best option would be to hire a professional graphic designer. They have the skill and machinery that will help you design the best cards fit to your business. Of course, you have to be ready for the additional cost if you will hire a designer.

Ten Tips for Writing an Effective Business Plan

01310494991_business-plan.jpgI wrote my first business plan over 20 years ago in college, and I have learned a lot of things along the way helping companies to win as a former financier and now a business consultant. In my business plan book, I cover over 100 business plan mistakes and have just as many tips. Here are 10 of those important tips when developing and writing a business plan…

Tip 1: Have a business mentor who has a lot of experience in your area of business read your business plan and critique it.

Tip 2: Business Plans do not need a lot of fancy graphics and art work to be effective. Simplicity and straight forwardness are more important than a bunch of pretty graphs. Many modern business plans lack substance and have lots of flash. Add some flash and graphics to the plan after the substance of the plan is completed and only if it aides the understanding and comprehension of the written substance.

Tip 3: What is the most effective way to build a business plan? For each section of the plan, write out questions prior to writing the section. Pull the questions from your experience, your team’s experience, your mentor’s experience and published business planning books and software. Answers to the questions will build out that particular section. Order the sub-sections in a logical, building block order.

Tip 4: After you have developed your Comprehensive Business Plan, you should develop business plans of shorter length and format (usually no more than 20-30 pages in length) for various purposes: Funding Business Plan, Investor Plan, Joint Venture Business Plan, Marketing Business Plan, Strategic Plan, Customer Plan, Supplier Plan and so forth.

Tip 5: A Business Plan is a technical document – a business document. It should be written as such. It should not be written like a novel or a book. It should be concise and utilise outline organisation versus long, windy paragraphs. However, it should also be written for its audience.

Tip 6: The business plan should be realistic and believable. It should contain facts and figures to support the “believability factor.” For instance, just stating in your Marketing Plan that you will achieve 5% market share is not enough. Your Strategic Plan in combination with your Marketing Plan should carefully illustrate how you will achieve 5% market share.

Tip 7: A Comprehensive Business Plan serves two purposes typically: a dynamic tool to run your company, and to start, acquire or expand a company, backed by the targeted business plan formats (i.e. Funding Business Plan).

Tip 8: A Business Plan is never static. It should be dynamic and easily adaptable to changes in the market and opportunities which arise. It is a “living” document used to run your business on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Tip 9: Understand that business planning is a high commitment process (i.e. takes a lot of work) but the payoff is your very best chance at success. This is a great trade off!

Tip 10: An Important Consideration- Should you hire somebody to “write” your business plan? The answer is Yes and No. You initially probably do not want a business plan writer or technical writer to write the business plan. You can use these writers after the business plan is built to make it more professional (i.e. adapted for a Funding Business Plan). However, hiring an experienced Business Plan Consultant can be quite advantageous when building and developing a business plan. A great business consultant will take the time necessary to get to know the business owner, the business and people who work in the business. The consultant will issue you important questions for you to consider and answer, which when fully analyzed, will effectively build out a very effective business plan. No one can write a successful business plan for a business by themselves with out the business owner and its people fully involved and engaged in the process. The business owner knows the business better than anyone. The business consultant in turn harnesses that knowledge and shared information by asking the right questions and building out the business plan section by section. As the planning process unfolds, the business consultant can share his/her experience and expertise to ensure the business plan is effective for its intended purpose.

BUSINESS PLAN WRITERS:

The business plan must meet the needs and requirement of your industry. Many writers use the standard template of writing a business plan that not matches the requirement of the industry in which you are going to operate a business.
It is better to write business plan by your own because a business plan writer that you hire will not be with you at meetings with potential investors and lenders to answer their questions, if something is not understandable by them.

Importance of having a business plan for starting and running a business

21310676444_outbox.jpgIf you are currently in the process of starting a small business, the first important thing you should keep in mind is a small business plan. Each year, because of a variety of reasons a large number of individuals plan to start a business. Yet despite the desire and motivation to run their own business, many don’t get off the starting blocks. One of the reasons for the inability to get a business off the ground is the lack of a clear thought process

Smaller Businesses & The Executive Interim

f_11324499591_bic0095b.jpgIt would be appropriate to assume that the management challenges faced by both the smalleer and medium-sized companies (SME’s ) would differ from those faced by larger organisations.
It is therefore necessary for ‘Interims@ to understand the obvious subtle differences.

Managing what you own is a very different experience from managing something essentially owned by someone else. This is referring to businesses in which ‘ownership’ is controlled by Management.

In the SME’s the ‘Interim Business Executives’ face very diffferent pressures and conflicts from those in larger publicly owned orginsations. Key decision-makers in SME’s are likely to have to ‘don many hats’ finding themselves in the roles of employee, owner and director – probably incorporating family roles aswell! Each of these roles will obviously carry with them different agendas and indeed those agendas will conflict.

Furthermore the nature of equity participation in smaller businesses differs from that in the bigger business. The Equity itself will be more preciously guarded. Owner-Managers often don’t mind sharing
the management – but often draw the line at shared ownership. The larger the business the more options they can shed, as they are not weighed down with emotional baggage, like thos in the smaller sector.

It is therefore essential that the ‘Managing Executive Interim@ is sensitive to o these conflicts. It might be necessary, before commencement and an ‘Interim Executive@ is sensitive to these conflicts. It might be necessary, before commencement that an ‘Interim Executive’ seeks a proper mandate from the shareholders and that the management understands that mandate – easy enough with one shareholder, but when several are involved it might mean raising and addressing the conflict before commencing the work.

Alternatively, because the ‘Managing Interim Executive’ will not have equity in the business, he is often uniquely well-placed to jhelp that business. He/she would be less susceptible to conflicts of interest, thus an’Interim Manager’ can bring more objectivity not available to most permanent executives. They are able, too, to offer precious experience to a situatioon, transferring their skills from
running a bigger business to those of a smaller one. Indeed a decent ‘Interim Manager’ is likely to be more frank and challenging and not afraids of ‘rocking the boat’ if that what his or her’s experince advocates.

Smaller businesses are often more volatile than larger ones as their futures can be far more uncertain and they are very much affected by the personalities involved. the larger the organisation, the less likely they are affected by an individual’s personality The success can rapidly turn to failure in a small concern and it would, therefore, be necessary on the ‘Interim Manager to react quickly; something they would well able to do not having to carry any historical baggage!

Resources within a small organisatioon can be tight, even a highly successful one can have trouble with cash; fast growing businesses can lurch from one cash crisis to another, even though they may boast healthy profits. This, initially may pose a problem for th’Interim Managers’ as utilising an ‘Interim Management’ facility can initially appear to be expensive. However the Owner/Manager
of the business should be aware that ‘Interim Managers’ are rarely interested in Equity. In this sense an ‘Interim Manager can be inexpensive because Equity long term is very costly. Their skills, knowledge and expertise should be rewarded with cash – by definition the ‘Interim’ isn’t interested in the sort of commitment, apprpriately rewarded by Equity.

Thus the problems ‘Executive Interim Managers’ should be asked to address should be the most important for the future success of the business. Utilising an ‘Interim Manager’ on the face of it, may appear expensive, but if it’s a resource that ensures the business survives, then it is money well spent and of course prove to be very ‘cost effective’ in the long run.

Business Cards: Back to Bring more Punch

21310675945_businesscards.jpgBusiness cards are among the essential marketing tools many people fail to take advantage of. For just a small investment, you can conveniently tell the world who you are and what products or services you offer. With the right information and design, your cards can be an influential door opener and reminder. When done well, your card will be your silent vendor. It is, therefore, important that you are conscious of what your card will say about you and your business?
When designing your business card, it is crucial that you consider your message. After all, your card will be what people will use to remember you. So, it needs to be enticing, readable and complete with all the important contact information.
You need to spend some time and consideration on the layout of your card in such a way that it captures all the necessary information in such a small space. You can use business card templates and create special design and position of details. You search through some online web sites as they offer free templates that you can use. You simply have to download the template and incorporate your design in it.
In some cases, a folded card is the best choice for you. However, it is essential to know that many people don’t like cards that are in unusual in size and shape especially those that can’t be easily kept in a rolodex or a business card holder.
Ideally, unusual cards are catchy and exciting, but often they are not rightly appropriate to a business. But there are exclusions such as foil stamping, embossing, or die cut. If these printing options will make your card look more compelling, then use them. The use of vibrant colors should also be moderated as oftentimes the color can overpower your details. Just keep it straightforward and you can easily make your card forceful.
A lot of cards now have photos as this give a sensitive feel to your card. If you want to include a picture in your business cards, here are some things consider:
• Keep in mind that there are people who do not like a photo on your card.
• There are some people who will assess you based on your appearance, so be sure to put only the best picture in your card.
• A high quality picture can personalize your card and make you more available to them.
Basics content of a business card:
1. Front side: it has to contain your name, business name, logo, mailing address, phone numbers, email address, and web site address.
2. Back side: it should contain details like who you are, what you do, your mission statement, products or services you offer, a site map, and other valuable information.
Tips in content writing:
• Make sure that your content is easily legible and convincing.
• As much as possible, stay away from unusual fonts. Stick with the simple ones.
• Ensure the details you include are organized and makes logic in the design of your card.
• Make sure that your name is huge enough for people of all ages to read.
It is alright to have several cards for different businesses. You can consider having a personal and professional card if you can afford it. Just be sure to create the right design to ensure your card will be effective.

How advertising improves business

21310675506_tacobell.jpgThe importance of advertisement is for everyone to see and observe. It is not only the small companies that go for advertisement to increase their business. It has been seen that big business houses invest huge sums of money in advertisements. In fact, the bigger the company, the bigger its advertisement budget. Their success depends a lot on advertisements, on their visibility to the consumer. A wise advertisement is in fact a huge investment for success. Because until even a good product is visible to people, it will not be able to sell. Advertisement is the trick that makes your product known to people so that they buy it and use it-and in the process support your business.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that advertisement is what drives a business. Your business can hope to take off only after it has been made visible to people and that is done only by advertisements. No doubt a good and value based product will be popular because of its utility but alongside having a good product it is also important to have a good advertisement telling of its qualities in the best possible way.
Ironically, sometimes sincerity and hard work alone are not enough. A successful businessman needs to shout out from the rooftop that he possesses these along with a product worth buying. Sometimes the good old recommendations that travel by way of word of mouth are not enough. Sometimes even the neighborhood shops need to advertise and sell their wares by making attractive offers through big billboards, banners and posters. Initial investment in advertisement might not bring you a flock of customers, but it is an investment worth making. Advertisement definitely attracts customers.
A few visible examples of wise advertisement can be seen in India. One of them is the phenomenal success of telecom industry. Various public and private sector telecom companies work overtime to produce catchy advertisements that keep the customers loyal to make the former a success. Unique advertisements do result in new customers. Therefore, like Reliance India, a company should be ready to pump in great sums of money in order to make advertisements that reach out to common people.
The perpetual wars emanating from the competition between two giant cola companies force these two companies to come up with a better and more innovative advertisement. Their mutual fight in fact boosts the business of both.
Public memory is reinforced only by constant hammering of the name and look of the product in their minds. Aggressive advertisements by multinational companies’ work so well that people tend to forget the availability of local made products. The big business houses work directly on public psyche which tends to remember only what is constantly harped on in front of them. Demand increases as the people tend to recall the name of the product and that happens when the product is strongly advertised. Buying unbranded or local product in fact comes to be associated with a low self esteem and at the same time, buying a branded or a vastly advertised product becomes a status symbol and a mode of show off.
The biggest magic of advertisements is that, they not only cater to demand of products they also create a demand for a product where there is none.

Book Printing Press In The Present Time

f_21310676651_networking.jpgThe printing industry has changed immensely and the greatest proofs are imminent especially in book printing. In ancient times, only a limited number of books are published since very few authors are willing to write their books. You see books during those times are all hand written. Writing a book may take a year or so to finish. And of course we all know that handmade products are usually expensive so just imagine how much a book would costs during the ancient times.

If the actual writing already poses a problem just think of the problem in reprinting the same book. But thanks to the development of printing technology more books and other printed materials are easily printed today. Aside from that, there are also other options that are available to improve the quality of each book printed. As much as there are so many types of books there also numerous book printers and publishers that offers varying costs and benefits.

Book printing in its simplest sense is the method of having a book printed. But is it really all printing? Or is there something more to it that meets the eye? Book printing should never be confused with traditional publishing. Traditional publishing refers to the entire life cycle of a book starting off with the development of the book, then the creative design for the cover followed by printing, manufacturing, distribution and then the marketing of the books. Book printing is more of “your-own- publishing and printing scheme since you are the publisher and at the same time the printer of your own book.

At present there is a vast number of book printing presses already used by publishers as well as book manufacturers. Nevertheless, there are also local print shops that offer book printing services. The difference between professional book printing and your local print shop lies on the quality of the output. Books that have undergone professional book printing press procedures are more superior in terms of prints and then the colors used are more impressive compared to the quality of books that are simply done by inexperienced local copy shops.

An excellent choice of book printing company is one that takes the time to explain to its customers the benefits that may be derived from the technology in order to help their customers in correctly choosing the correct format, page count, ink type, colors as well as provide their customers with the quotes to help them with their budgets.

Business owner

01310675583_corporations.jpgThey are the big cheese of our time. They are the big time people that make all the money. They are the collectors. They are the entrepreneurs of our time. Ladies and gentlemen I present the business owner, and they are not seen too often. Those big business owners are the ones in the back ground and remember what I said, the ones that are behind the scenes make all the money. So for example have you ever been to a restaurant? I’m sure you have.
Well tell me what you see there. Usually you see waiters, bartenders, cashiers, and maybe the restaurant manager (Though I hope you haven’t). All these people you see are the workers for the owner of the restaurant. They are the ones that have jobs and make the 10% of us money. While the ones that are the owners they are the ones that really are the big cheeses.
They are the ones that make the real profit of the restaurant. They are the ones that make 90% of U.S. money along with their partners the investors. They are the ones that build assets rather than build liabilities, like the 90% of Americans the make only 10% of the money. The big time business owners also pay less in taxes. Why? Well if you employed 300,000 workers would the government want you to downsize those workers? Would the Government want you to struggle and have to downsize hundreds of thousands, even millions of workers that are under you? I didn’t think so.
So the government will be a little bit kinder to you than they would the workers for the workers are the ones that don’t have anyone under them. So that is why taxes raise on the workers so much because they work for the rich and own no one instead of being rich and owning everyone in a sense. Also, if the government raised taxes on you and you employed 300,000 people that ate at your money. You could easily go to another country where the taxes are lower and where the people worked for much less than they do at America and what will happen to the 300,000 people you left behind?
They will be downsized and you will be upgraded because of all the money you saved from another country. So what am I saying? I am saying that the government will lower taxes on the richest ones for they employ the works and the workers will fill in the gap. This is happening now to. Workers are getting downsized and the companies are moving overseas. Why? Because people don’t have enough money anymore to buy things from them so they’re seeing a decrease in profit so that is another reason to move. I am not an advocate to move out of the U.S. in fact that is the last thing I want to happen but I am just telling you what I happening from my point of view and from common sense really. I mean it just takes a little thought to figure this out and I’ll give you a scenario to prove it. Let’s say you’re a wealthy business owner.
You have been seeing a decrease in profit because people don’t want to buy your products because of the financial crises so you raise the prices hoping to make up for the gap. However because of the rise in prices you lose a lot of your valuable costumers. On top of that the government raises taxes on you and the workers are begging for higher salaries. Wouldn’t you want to move out of the country and go overseas? If you do your employees will work for less, there is no financial crisis to worry about, there are lower taxes to pay and as a plus your workers will work more diligently.
Although you hate the idea of going overseas your profit is still lowering without end. So would you? I am not taking any sides but I am just trying to get both point of views down so next time just try not only to think of your own situation and think that the rich are greedy snobs but think of what situation they might be in. Also, there are those that are dirty and mean. So my point is that is why the government offers tax advantages to the rich because they don’t want to make the situation worse and unemployed those workers.
Also when you offer tax advantages someone’s got to fill in the gap so if not the rich for being employers and not the poor for not having money in the first place, then who do you think will fill in the gap? The middle class workers of course but things are starting to get to tough for them to. Also if you have anything you wish to say to me please do not hesitate to E-mail me at Trenzel123@yahoo.com. I will get back to you if I can. Also if you like this article please take the time to look through the others I made via my profile page. Thank you for your interest and have a wonderful day.
